Miami – May 3, 2019

After a joint investigation by the Public Corruption Division of the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office and the Professional Compliance Bureau, Internal Affairs Section of the Miami-Dade Police Department, Miami-Dade Police Officer Alejandro Giraldo has been arrested and charged.

After taking the sworn statements of Ms. Dyma Loving, Ms. Adrianna Green, all the other available witnesses, and reviewing all the known video evidence, we believe that there is sufficient evidence to charge a violation of Florida’s criminal statutes.

Officer Alejandro Giraldo has been charged with:

  • 1 count – Official Misconduct – 3rd Degree Felony
  • 1 count – Battery – 2nd Degree Misdemeanor

Bond for Officer Giraldo has been set at $5,500.00
