TITLE: INTAKE CLERK II – Receptionist/Mailroom

Graham Building

 Immediate position is available for an Intake Clerk II in the Reception Unit of the Graham Building. The work shift for this position is 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This position is assigned to rotate between both the Reception Unit and the Mailroom. In Reception, this position will be responsible for meeting and greeting all visitors; assisting with coordination of scheduled appointments; ensuring that all visitors are properly screened; acquiring and verifying proper identification prior to providing building access; proper announcement of visitor and/or client arrival; and conducting detailed research in various databases to locate case information. Additional duties include: researching the system to determine the appropriate location for visitors who arrive without case and/or appointment information; providing community resources information when applicable; and providing assistance and coordinating defense deposition room reservation requests via our website. This position involves extensive phone and public contact. In the Mailroom, this position will be responsible for receiving and directing mail and reports to the appropriate parties; conducting detailed research in various databases to locate case information; extensive phone and public contact; and providing copier services.

Minimum requirements are:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Two (2) years of clerical or secretarial experience
  • Successful Completion of a Skills Test
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)

The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, possess excellent verbal communication skills, and deal effectively with all levels of staff. In addition, the candidate must be able to work independently and effectively under pressure and with time sensitive constraints; be attentive to the needs of the general public and members of the law enforcement communities; and be adaptable to change.
Starting Annual salary: $23,221.08
