Child Support Division 601 Northwest 1st Court

Position Overview

The Intake Clerk II position in the Legal Processing Unit of the Child Support Division provides clerical support to the Legal Department in the Legal Processing Unit by organizing and maintaining the Child Support Program file rooms. The work schedule for this position is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Job Responsibilities are:

  • Transporting large volumes of legal files within the Legal Department
  • Processing large volumes of mail
  • Checking files in and out of the file room using the Fileroom Database Program
  • Reviewing daily file logs and pulling writ and rush files on a timely basis
  • Shifting files which includes packing and moving files to various locations
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

The Minimum Requirements are:

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Two (2) years of clerical experience
  • Must be able to lift approximately 25 pounds
  • Successfully passing the Skills Test

The Successful Candidate must be able to:

  • Be detailed-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Work effectively under pressure and meet stringent time constraints
  • Type 15 words per minute
  • Possess and demonstrate significant knowledge of computer programs
  • Work effectively with all levels of staff
  • Be a self- starter and work independently
  • Lift approximately 25 pounds and move boxes of files on a regular basis
  • Possess and demonstrate excellent organizational skills
  • Be adaptable to change

Starting Annual Salary: $24,469.08
