  Child Support Division

Future positions will become available on October 16, 2017, for Customer Service Specialists working primarily in the Call Center Units of the Child Support Division. This position must provide excellent customer service at all times. The daily responsibilities include, working in a Call Center environment, conducting high volume telephone interviews to elicit and gather factual case information expeditiously, assisting callers with their questions/concerns, providing general and case specific information, updating all necessary data in computer programs, trouble-shooting problems on cases, utilizing various computer and database systems to research and evaluate information, formulating a solution and ensuring each referral is forwarded to the appropriate unit. After successfully completing the nine (9) month probationary period, candidates would be upgraded to a Case Analyst II classification.

Minimum requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and one (1) year of higher level customer service experience, or five (5) years equivalent
  • combination of education and experience plus one (1) year of higher level customer service experience
  • Possess excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Work effectively under pressure and be adaptable to change
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations with a degree of excellence and timeliness
  • Must be able to effectively work with all levels of staff
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be able to work 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) or (English/Creole) preferred

Case Analyst I Yearly Starting Salary: $25,469.16

Case Analyst II Yearly Starting Salary: $27,626.28
