TITLE:  CLERK IV

County Court (DUI, Traffic and Crimes Division)

Immediate full-time position is available for a Clerk IV in the County Court DUI, Traffic, and Crimes Division. Some of the duties include: processing large volumes of incoming mail and reports and distributing them to the appropriate parties; conducting detailed research in various databases to locate case information; including extensive phone and public contact; being a primary courier, picking up and delivering mail and packages from court, SAO worksites, and other agencies several times a day. Additional duties include: filing cases, printing and distributing reports, scanning files, arranging and delivering case file boxes to other work sites in a State vehicle, updating records program, processing cases ordered to be expunged or sealed, general filing, answering phones, assisting the public and law enforcement personnel when needed, and other duties as assigned. The work schedule is: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Candidates must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, lift 25-50 pounds or more, and work from a ladder when necessary. Candidates must be able to work under stringent deadlines, in stressful situations, be adaptable to change, and be able to communicate and interact effectively with members of the public and all levels of staff. The successful candidates must be detail oriented, possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Candidates must possess a valid Florida Drivers’ License and a very good driving record.

Minimum qualifications are:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent
  • One (1) year clerical experience
  • Successful completion of Skills Test required

Starting Annual Salary: $20,613.12
